Article I. General Provisions

Section 1. At the beginning of each CKI administrative year, it shall be the duty of the Laws and Regulations committee to review and make revisions, as necessary, for language and any errors, and maintain this Policy Code and its consistency with the current Bylaws.

Section 2. Any established procedure of the District Board of Officers shall be called a policy, and any decision by the board concerning the implementation of a policy shall be called an enactment.

Section 3. All policies of the board shall be binding on all officers and chapters of the Texas-Oklahoma District.

Section 4. All amendments to, as well as the adoption of, this Policy Code shall require a two-thirds (2/3) vote of all voting members of the District Board of Officers. This Policy Code supersedes and nullifies all previous policies and rules adopted by the District Board of Officers. 

Section 5. The District Board of Officers, the Administrator(s), the District Office, and the International Office shall keep a current copy of this Policy Code.

Section 6. The District Board of Officers, in conjunction with the Administrator(s), shall share the responsibility of the adherence to this Policy Code. 

Section 7. The District Board of Officers shall annually receive a revised copy of this Policy Code and District Bylaws. 

Section 8. Current copies of the Policy Code and the District Bylaws shall be available to any member chapter in good standing with this district, upon request.

Section 9. The current edition of Robert’s Rules of Order Newly Revised shall be the standard parliamentary authority of the Texas-Oklahoma District.

Section 10. At any time when there is no Laws and Regulations Committee appointed, any member of the Texas-Oklahoma District Board may propose amendments to this Policy Code at meetings of the District Board of Officers.
