Article IV. District Board of Officers

Section 1. It is understood that failure to observe any duties found in Article V of the District Bylaws or Article IV of the District Policy Code will result in possible removal from office in accordance with the International Bylaws and the Texas-Oklahoma District bylaws, Article IV, Section 8, as reviewed by the Governor and District Administrator(s)

Section 2. All elected and appointed officers of the District must submit a monthly report to the Governor, Administrators, and International Trustee (if required) by the date specified.

Section 3. All elected and appointed members of the District Board of Officers are hereby required to attend the following Texas-Oklahoma events: Weekend Officer Workshop, Fall Membership Retreat, Fall & Spring Rally for the officer’s home division, and District Convention. In addition, all members of the District Board of Officers excluding committee chairs are hereby required to attend all in-person board meetings for their term year: board trainer, summer board meeting, fall board meeting, and winter board meeting. In the event that a district board member fails to attend one of the above events, they will be immediately placed on probationary status and must attend a virtual meeting with both the District Governor and the District Administrators. Failure to attend this meeting or further communicate with the District Governor or Administrators will result in movement by the District Governor towards the officer’s removal from the board in accordance with Article IV, Section 8 of the District Bylaws. Any District Board Officer who misses two of the mandatory events above throughout their term will also face a removal vote set forth by the District Governor in accordance with Article IV, Section 8 of the District Bylaws without exception.

Section 4. All elected and appointed members of the District Board of Officers are hereby expected to maintain communication with the remainder of the District Board, CKI members of the Texas-Oklahoma District, and other K-Family members in the Texas-Oklahoma District. District Board members are expected to issue a response no later than 48 hours to any instance of communication pertinent to CKI directed toward them through either Slack, text, or their district board email account. If over the course of 2 months it is determined that a board member's communication is not adhering to the standards of their position then they will be immediately placed on probationary status and must attend a virtual meeting with both the District Governor and the District Administrators. Failure to attend this meeting or further communicate with the District Governor or District Administrators will result in movement by the District Governor towards the officer’s removal from the board in accordance with Article IV, Section 8 of the District Bylaws. Failure to adhere to communicational standards over 2 months can be determined by the following: a formal complaint from a club member or officer, an occasion of a greater than 2-week response time to a district board member or administrator, failure to mark off monthly directives greater than 60% of monthly directives by the 31st of the month at 11:59 p.m. Central Time.

Section 5. Any District Board Officer who is on probationary status is given a month’s time period to attend any and all district events as well as improve their communication to meet the standards of their position outlined in Article V of the District Bylaws and Article IV, Section D of the District Policy Code. Any officer on probation is also required to CC or otherwise include the District Governor on all instances of communication related to CKI. Should the officer meet these criteria, they shall be removed from probationary status. If the officers fails to meet the criteria by the end of the one month period, then the District Governor shall call for removal of said officer in accordance with Article IV, Section 8 of the District Bylaws no earlier than two weeks (14 days) but no later than 5 days prior to the ending of the next term quarter.
